Unlike most assessments, there is rarely a benefit in buying a retake. Did I change? No. Embrace your 1st Kolbe(tm) MO result – the real you. Let’s explore, when you need clarity to align.― Back in Line Family Chiropractic & Wellness P.C.
The Back in Line team loves the Kolbe Index and recommend others check it out. Dr. Kleene shared with how Kolbe helped her own a little bit of who she really is and letting go of the things that make her feel insecure― Dan Sullivan, Strategic Coach
The day I got my Kolbe results will always stand out in my mind as one of the most powerful days of my life, because that profile suddenly explained where all the troubles in my life and my business came from. I believe Kolbe does the quickest job of getting you into the right place to start that inquiry—and takes away a lot of the complexity. That’s why we love it. We don’t hire anyone unless their Kolbe profile corresponds to the role we’re hiring them for. This avoids a tremendous amount of stress and missed expectations, and gives us the advantage of having a lot of gut-instinct wisdom at work within our organization.― David Henzel – Entrepreneur and personal development geek
The Kolbe test was recommended to me by a close personal friend of mine. After looking into it further, the test quickly jumped to the top of my shortlist for this self-awareness series. On the one hand, I love that the test has been built on a foundation of almost one million test results. That’s a huge amount of data to help with the test’s accuracy.
But outside of simply being an accurate test, I really like the premise of the results. Instead of telling me my strengths (what the majority of tests claim to do) this test helps me understand my motivations. It’s not answering the “what am I good at” question; it’s answering the “what will I actually do” question or even the “why do I do” question.
I feel like this test can get you closer to understanding your True Purpose and helping you discover a clearer path to moving forward in your life.― Denise Wilkie, Director of Insurance Services at Northwestern Mutual
I’ve wanted to take this Kolbe assessment for months and I was finally given the opportunity. I’m not surprised too much by the results but it’s another help to understanding how I work and am able or unable to do my best work.― Hammond Shamco, Entrepreneur
For many years I have been using KOLBE in my own business. I did one for and ALL of my managers have done the KOLBE A and I swapped roles for two of my managers when I realized why one was so challenged. The results were stunning.
The first thing is I do a full business diagnostic and then I ask them to go and do the Kolbe test and send me that. When they send me that, I know how to deal with them on their first call. I know how to help them get the best possible results, what they’re likely to get stuck on, how we’re going to communicate together, and how we’re going to translate the potential into reality
Your KOLBE score is perfect for you. They give good detail on what it means for you and also how to deal with people who are opposite to you.― Helga Moreno, MonsterPost Blog
Kolbe Indexes can turn out to be really helpful in many spheres of life.
Entrepreneurs can improve their businesses as Kolbe’s unique collection of employee assessments and WAREwithal® software are powerful diagnostic tools that help decision makers in businesses of any size. i.e.: hire and keep the right people, maximize employee potential and build successful project teams. Kolbe also offers specialized training on the Kolbe System.
We consider the Kolbe Index really awesome and even revolutionary in its uncommon approach.― Jason Moffatt, former private detective turned internet marketer
The Kolbe Index is a instinct assessment and it helps you to discover your strengths and weaknesses when it comes to work, motivation and problem solving.
The results were just about what I expected. Nothing really new for me jumped out, but I reckon that is because I’m pretty aware of my strengths and weaknesses through much self evaluation over the years. However, it was reassuring to read the results and find out where I should be devoting most of my time and energy.
One thing I enjoyed about the test was that it doesn’t try to correct you or penalize you for your lack of interest in certain areas of achievement. It simply recognizes where your strengths are and encourages you to excel in those areas of your life while understanding your weaknesses as well. It makes little sense to try and work on your weaknesses all the time when instead you could be playing to your strengths.
Where I see the Kolbe A Index Assessment being incredibly important is with hiring new employees. Sticking a new employee in the wrong spot can be a disaster and a big time money loss if don’t position them wisely.― Jerry Martens, President at Avonbank Ag Solutions
“We are making some changes within our management and ownership, so we thought it would be a worthwhile exercise, We hoped it would help us understand the traits that our current staff and the new people all had, and to figure out where they would fit in with the new roles. We had tried other assessments before, but they didn’t break employees out into different groups as well as the Kolbe A Index did. It certainly opened our eyes to how different people are and how they react differently to situations, The biggest benefit of using the Index for management purposes is pinpointing employees’ strengths when it comes to getting things done. If you know the traits of the people that are working around you, it helps you to designate who should deal with a certain problem or opportunity within your organization What the Kolbe A Index does is help to define who might be the best person to approach something, whether they’re strong in research and coming up with questions and answers to problems or opportunities, or whether they’re someone like me just going with their gut. In that sense, it helps you to surround yourself with people that might be the best ones to help with specific decisions and strategies.”― Joan O. Wright – Author, SOULinks – pursuing multi-generational significance
Kolbe provides materials, insights, and experts to help people of all ages identify their instinctive talents, develop their confidence, and use their innate abilities to succeed in a number of situations, from parenting, to getting through school and running a business.― Joey Ragona, Entrepreneur Consultant
Pretty cool to see that what I’m doing is exactly what my personality profiling test results suggest.
This is just one of them…I highly recommend you take the Kolbe Index A test so you can see where you naturally excel. Then, fit your business and the activities you do on a daily basis around your natural talents –
You’ll find your business will grow while you reduce the stress and anxiety of doing things you suck at and/or just plain hate doing.
You can see from my results that prioritizing & dealing with unknowns in complex problems are part of my strengths…― John Barr, president and co-founder of Transformation Through Leadership,
“I first became Kolbe CertifiedTM in 1995 when I was working for Xerox as the Manager of Management and Quality Consulting” John says. At that time, he was working closely with Kathy Kolbe, and he “was responsible for designing and implementing management and quality workshops and providing consulting services to 39,000 employees. During my career with Xerox and in the years since I started our consulting business, I have probably introduced over 5000 people to conation and the Kolbe Theory.
“I’ve used Kolbe Theory to introduce senior executives to the emotional, intellectual, and conative areas of the mind and to explain how those areas work together to help determine how well an individual will perform in a specific job or as a member of a specific team.”― Jon Hubbard, Boomer Consulting Inc
Customized, perspective guidance to help managers get the most out of individual team members with specific Kolbe Index results.― Jonny D, Body Transformation Coach and Entrepreneur
I know that incorporating Kolbe within health and fitness coaching programs is significant. I think that it’s been used incredibly well in other forms of coaching across other industries. And I absolutely feel like this revolution requires this level of detail in making sure that people have strategies that are right their instincts. It’s always worth understanding one’s Kolbe. For those people that haven’t, again I would strongly recommend taking that 36 question assessment and being able to put yourself in a position where a coach that understands that can help you integrate that into your fitness strategies. And really think about what qualities are you looking within a trainer. We looked at those kind of signs that you’ll know that a trainer isn’t the right one. And try and find something where you can bring that all together into a very highly strategic plan.― Martha Beck – Life Coach, and NY Times best-selling author
After we found out our Kolbe Results and my daughter, Katie, and I accepted that we simply had different ways of doing things, our relationship and her confidence began to improve immediately.― Melody Rogan, CAAR Canadian agri-retail
Having the right team in place directly contributes to the success of an agri-retail business, but it can be challenging to know whether a new hire or current employee is a good fit for a certain task or work group. Rather than focusing on personality or learned skills, the assessment is designed to measure people’s actions in particular situations. A system used to determine instinctual abilities is giving managers and owners new insight into employee effectiveness.― Michael R. Bossy, President, Founding Partner of Bossy Nagy Group and Kolbe Certified ™ Consultant.
“I have been using the Index for the past five years as part of my business consulting services, and my approach tends to be the same, regardless of the type of industry involved. The Index is not so much of a test as it is an assessment. All results are valid, and a strong team will have a balance of each of the Index’s strength areas. The Kolbe A Index can be a useful tool when it comes to hiring new employees, as well as moving current employees into new or existing roles. Someone may be performing well in one role, but that does not mean that they will perform as well in a different role within the same company.
One of the mistakes that I see businesses do all the time is that they take their best salesperson and make them a manager. And a manager has a different Index than somebody who is your best salesperson.― Michelle R. Gottesman, Disability Attorney
If you don’t know much about the Kolbe Index, you’re missing out on incredible insights about yourself and others.― Mike Kitces, Financial Adviser for New Planner Recruiting
I became familiar with the Kolbe test fairly early in my career, and didn’t really get to know it well until we began to use it in our New Planner Recruiting business to help ensure that the planners being hired were a good match for the job description of the firm and the people they’d be working with (in particular, the advisor/boss to whom they’d be reporting). Unlike the MBTI, which provides interesting reflections on personality but is not necessarily very predictive of actual on-the-job behaviors, there is far more research to support and validate Kolbe’s use in the workplace, and I’ve found it very accurate regarding what I tend to do (and don’t do) in tackling challenges.
Outcome is probably the best demonstration of the value of using the Kolbe Index – it helps you to understand both your strengths (to focus on them) and your weaknesses (to partner or hire others to help fill them in). This is notable, because the reality is that we like to hire people who are just like ourselves – a form of “mini-me” – when in truth most advisors would have far better results by finding someone to complement them, not mimic them.― Paul Edgewater, Public Speaker & Author― Paul Kortman, Digital Marketer, Connex Digital Marketing
Kolbe is not an excuse for laziness, just more of a helpful tool in predicting and explaining inter-personal relational difficulties or successes.
Oh and yes kolbe scores change over time, I used to be a 7-6-5-3 and now I’m a 5-4-9-2 which means I’ve moved into a more experimental phase in my life, wanting to operate out of trying new things more than finding all of the information (high fact finder). I’ve also lowered my system building tendency and my tendency to work with my hands in the physical space.― Rich Fettke, Co-CEO at Real Wealth Network
Kind of trippy how accurate it is. I’m a kolbe 4-6-5-5. If you’ve done it before you’ll know what those numbers mean.― Ronald S. Rosbruch, Partner Emeritus of Strategies for Wealth
One day, we were talking about hiring, how to find the right person, of course, but someone who would fit in with the team and stay for the long haul, which can be a problem in a strong job market. My coach recommended that I use a personal assessment tool called the Kolbe Index, an alternative to personality tests, intelligence tests and other tests given in the workplace. It’s very unusual, based on instinct. Kolbe Indexes help my employees define and work with their personal strengths. So we arranged to use the test for new hires then gave the test to four qualified candidates for the position of executive administrator. Without the test, maybe we wouldn’t have been savvy enough to have chosen the right candidate for the position. What I especially liked about it was that the results validated who I said I was and how I regard myself.― Sandi Krakowski, Entrepreneur
I require all of my coaching clients take the Kolbe A Index & Career MO. It reveals your “GUT” response, not your personality, quadrant or anything like that. It’s exhausting to do something you’re not called to do. That’s why it’s SO IMPORTANT to find your gifts. This helps. It reveals who you are & how you’ll respond on a good day or even off your game. THIS reveals clues to what kind of biz you should do― STELAR – STEM Learning and Research Center
Kolbe Indexes measure how you naturally DO things. These tests are different from other self assessments because they don’t measure how smart you are (thinking) or what your personality is like (feeling).― Teresa Shields Parker, Business Person
The Kolbe score reveals your first instinct or how you DO things. I am a factfinder, implementor, stabilizer and imaginer. Kind of a weird combo, hey that’s me! I took this two years ago and I’ve actually changed my score in a couple of areas that really relate to what I’m up to today.― Tom Loeblein, President/CEO Healthcare Management Consultants, Speaker, Leadership Coach, Kolbe Certified Consultant
When we discovered the Kolbe A™ Index we entered a new realm of understanding each other. We discovered how each of us uniquely solves problems. This new understanding allowed us to become much more passionate in our meetings. It is critical that you understand how your teammates are wired to solve problems. This gives you a necessary insight and respect for how they are approaching a problem.― Tricia Duncan, CPA HR Director, Career Coach Jones & Roth CPAs, Eugene, OR

running quickly by understanding how they work. It also opens the door to conversations about learning style, communication, etc. It helps us develop teams.”
“We liked that the results don’t change over time – they are inherent traits. We liked that it would help us evaluate the strengths and best use of our team and give us a common language to work with.
“It is a great resource and is very useful. We actually have the results posted outside each person’s door to remind us of how they like to work.”
